Reflect + Refract. This concept started with the idea of reflection—each student looking back on their entire grad school experience as they prepare for and finally showcase their work. Much like light refracting, MICA Grad Show marks a point of change for each student, and the future holds many possibilities. This sophisticated system utilizes subtle imagery of refracted light to portray the change and possibilities to come. Every deliverable in the system has a unique image. The process of creating this imagery was exploratory and produced unexpected, inimitable results, just like each student’s thesis journey.
